In the middle of 2005, Pastors Saras & Felina Bany returned to Penang after 8 years of ministry in Singapore. Armed with prayers and faith in their hearts they started a cell group in their new home. The cell group grew quickly from 6 people to 15 people in two months.
In August 2005, The Life Church was launched at Fettes Park, Tanjung Tokong. Sharing the premise of a Tamil Church, the Church held its worship service on Saturday evening. The Church grew quickly and ended 2006 with 80 people.
